sorry for the delay

we arrived safely from north carolina but have been very tired, as you might imagine.

i know all of you have been eager to hear about our visit with dr. masters. it went well. he tested ellen with electrodes placed on different pressure points. after 10 minutes, he did the same thing and compared the results. ellen is showing a sever deficiency in her kidney and liver functions, her filter organs. she also has a problem with a particular pancreatic enzyme that he called the "eater-uppers". the cancer cells secrete a poison as they die off. this pancreatic enzyme is supposed to eat that poison as it appears. it's not doing so. these three things are what is stopping her body from healing.

he prescribed a supplement and a detoxifying liquid that she takes several times a day. his intention is to "build her up" before he attacks the cancer itself.

the way he explained what is going on in her body is so simple, so reasonable. it just made sense. he is fairly confident that he can help her. she is going to be changing her diet in addition to the supplements, so that will make a great deal of difference also.

we are still very encouraged about the new course of action. ellen is still very sick from the chemo but is fighting hard. she wants to feel better so that she can see everybody who has followed her battle so diligently.

please feel free to call us, 330.361.4141, and leave a message so that we may start to map out some visits. also, please don't be offended if i don't call back right away. she gets tired very easily and it will be hard to have many visitors for some time. we appreciate your patience but she IS eager to see everyone.

Ellen and Ryan,
I am so glad that you are home safe and you have visited the doctor. It sounds to me like he can really help Ellen get to feeling better soon. That is so encouraging and exciting. I needed some good news today from someone. I haven't been so lucky myself...my grandfather passed away last night. He was 92 and he lived a great life. I knew it would happen soon but you never want it to.
Well Ellen, I am looking forward to good things happening with you now that you are home. I am always down for a visit to North Canton but like I said before, I will give you time to re-adjust to being back home. I am constantly thinking of you! Take care and get better.
Love,
Laura French

Ellen and Ryan,
Welcome back to North Canton. The visit to Dr. Masters sounded quite impressive. I do have great faith in unconventional ways of healing. My cousin had sought out a healer when his body didn't respond to "normal" treatments and had great results. Here's to your gained strength to work at getting well! Take care, Louann Smith

Thanks for the update Ryan! I have a feeling you're watching the Ohio State game -- Go Bucks.

I was just chatting with my Dad about some dates to come visit. I'll give you guys a call when we get some things ironed out. I'll probably come the same weekend Amber & Amina come up. I think I'll bring Davin this time so tell Ellen to work up her strength for this little wild 2 y/o :)

Lots of love!

Ellen and Ryan, so happy to hear you remain encouraged. Long story short, I worked with and RN who's mother was battlig cancer 7-8 years ago. Very spiritual people. Her mother was given news that it was the end and the Dr. could no longer help her battle the Cancer. She began to see a holistic Dr. (I believe it was in California) and is now living the happiest life of any family I have ever known.(I guess ths would be when you count your blessigs every single second of the day) This is no lie. I remember when Shelly (My nurse friend) told me this story, I was truly amazed. I remember being amazed b/c apparently it was a miracle and quick recovery for her after she had lost hope from the tradition cancer tx. I will get in contact with Shelly to just get some more facts. I'm sure any persons you could come in touch with or know their story would be more hope for you. Guys, I know I'm not one of God's Angels or anything, but I still feel very positive for you and still promise to stay that way until you Recover. Mind over matter. Right?! I am glad you're home and hope you are very comfortable.

With much Love, Mark, Ami and the boy's

Please tell Suzy hello, I miss and love her.

Thanks for the update! I am so glad to hear that you are settling in and hopefully catching up on some much needed rest.

I know you will have many people visiting. As I am sure that the staff at Duke had to have been surprised at the number of people that traveled to you. I cannot wait to see you, but you let me know. When you feel up to it, we can get you over to the house if you start getting stir crazy-one advantage to being just across Everhard.
We are thinking about you always and hoping for a peaceful night.

Hi, Ellen and Ryan, They say laughter is the best medicine so here is something for you! It is not new but I just had it forwarded to me and found the laughter was really contagious. Takes about 2 minutes. I hope it is great for you and the others of us on the blog. You will have to cut and paste the link at the end. First is a little explanation.
Car Wreck Phone Call in Texas was played on the air!
Turn the speakers on.....and get ready...... no bad language
A phone call from a man in
Texas who witnessed a car accident that involved 4 elderly women. It
was so popular when they played it on CHUM FM that they had to put it on the web

Addition to the Radio phone call link. I checked the link and the last two letters were cut off by the blog. This is how the end should look.

Glad to hear you guys are home and resting. The news about the doctor being able to help Ellen sounds great. The few people I've talked to have very positive things about holistic healing. I just know she will start to feel better soon. We would love to see you guys, just let us know when you're feeling up to it. We continue to think and pray for you guys.

Being home must be the best medicine. And I am thrilled you were able to see the holistic doctor immediately. I believe I mentioned to you that traditional medicine did NOT work for me and after going to the holistic doctor I have had immediate and amazing results for a chronic condition that resulted in 3 surgeries and a year and a half of recovery but never getting totally well. I am now well.
And I have put myself into situations where the chronic illness would manifest itself and have had no reactions. I am a firm believer in holistic medicine. That is not to say, it did not take me a while to accept the practices. But, I am constantly reading about holistic medicine and it has been around for many years....long before our traditional medicine. My thoughts and prayers are for your continued recovery. No matter how odd the remedy appears go with it and watch for improvements. For me the improvement was slow but steady. I almost didn't realize how much better I was till one day I was amazed at how well I had been for an extended period of time. God bless you. My family continues to pray for you and your families. Thank you also for taking the time to keep us informed.

Ellen -
Of course you're ready for visitors; you've seen the same old mugs day in and day out for more weeks than we can count. Fresh faces is what you need!! And we're just the face to do it. Now, we won't be offended when you don't call us back - we are a bit much at times. And we will be patient and wait our turn. And to make your life even easier, we won't be coming all at once. I mean, what do you want us to do? Close the office? Just for you? Lock the doors so that the 100 people who need health insurance can't get in??? Shut the place up so that those 3 millionaires who need life insurance can't get in??? Stop answering the phone so that the 10 large groups who need employee benefits can't get anyone to pick up the phone??? Geeze - what were you thinking??!!!!
Take care - we'll come see you two-by-two - whenever you're ready for us!!!
Love,
The GDK Gang
