well many of you know that this weekend is the north canton chamber main street festival. i have been working very hard the last several months as the co-chair of the event and have been really upset that i will not be there this year. it was one of the most difficult things i had to do on july 13 when we found out about the cancer. i had to call and step down.
so today, ryan informs me that the kindy family of north canton tv and appliance has set up a camera to allow me to see what is going on at the main street festival. this couldn't have come at a better time because i was not having a good day at all! thank you so much kindy family!
don't get too excited... you won't be able to see my lovely face but i will be able to see and hear everything that YOU do! i think it works out nicely.
the camera will be up for the duration of the festival but i will be watching it from 1-3 and from 6:30-8 on saturday. there will also be someone there with a computer so that you can write messages to us on this blog.
the north canton chamber has been so wonderful to me. in addition to this, they have set up our paintings at the chamber booth to exhibit an artful life, llc. we have paintings for sale, are taking orders, and you can see what we are doing with the north canton medical foundation's cancer relief fund. the booth will be directly in front of the north canton chamber of commerce.
hope to see you tomorrow.

Hi Ellen and Ryan, What generous and thoughtful people you have been able to meet through your work on the festival. I'm sure you are looking forward to something different to occupy your time and your friends and coworkers have certainly come through for you. We had a nice visit with your mom this evening and she and Bella treated us to pizza. Take care, and Ryan, good luck on your tests--you'll do great. Love, Aunt Connie and the fam
Hey Pretty Lady,
We had such a great time saying Hi to you tonight. I know tomorrow will be even more fun, with all your friends stopping by to say Hi. I really had to crack the whip with Hilary tonight, she just wanted to sit and eat candy.....Oh well enough of that and on to the work at hand tomorrow...Hilary we will be busy. Barry was a BIG great help to me tonight!!!! I will miss you more then you will ever know....Hurry and get better so we can start working on Christmas!!!
Love ya,
Jo Ann
Hello Ellen, Reading your blog tonight brought back some very fun and fond memories of when we worked the festival together a couple of years. Wish we would have been wearing a pedometer (sp) to see how many steps we took. What fun. Tomorrow I will be there with the North Canton Friends and Newcommers Club working that booth for 4 hours, so I definitely will stop by to say 'hey'. What a neat thing for the kindy's to do for you. I'll miss 'seeing' you but know that your heart and touch will be wrapped all around this event. I can't wait to see your art and hopefully I'll be able to get an 'Ellen' bracelet somewhere.
Be strong - we continue to pray for God's best as you walk this path. Much love, coni
Ellen, I'm sure you've gotten all kinds of outside advice, but when I've mentioned your battle with some people, this site was referred to me. So I'm passing it on for whatever it may be worth. I know there has to be an answer and a cure somewhere - so we search with you. http://www.skin-cancer-advice.com/?hop=inkscreen coni
That is the coolest, kindest thing ever!!! I seriously just shed a tear for you El, b/c I know how happy that must make you! That festival was a big project in your life for the last few years. You worked so hard and did an amazing job. There is so much love around. I can see you smiling now:):):) What a great thing to look forward to. Have fun watching all the folks in NC. I wish I could be there to check out the art. FUN!!
Love you!
Ryan, thank-you for the e-mail!
Love Lanza
Ellen,
It's 2:45 AM, had a hard time sleeping, between a shoulder discomfort, the msf & thinking of you, I decided to get up & read your blog. Give the credit to my sister & her husband Matt for pulling off the camera link. He has the PC smarts to do this.
MSF Set-up, from what I saw, I feel went pretty smooth. I worked on the Y PA system, made myself avail for the Food vendors & the Amuse. rides - no real probblems so I hope I covered/helped JoAnn enough as many others where around also. Many of us will be having you on our minds the entire weekend, hope you don't see us standing around on the camera. I was thinking that the top core MSF people could wear a mystery color shirt to not be identified by you - the color green for a shirt so you wouldn't catch us - oops I gave out the mystery color - just kidding!
Well, I pray you have a good weekend & that the camera helps you be here. May you a few good laughs or smiles along side Ryan.
Take Care,
Barry K.

Hi kiddo! Hope you're up to watching the webcam today. We will all be stopping by to say hi! Hope you slept well last night. There are a lot of people here already and as you can see the weather is great. Everything is going well with the exception of seeing your smiling face. Have a good day. JoAnn and I eating some kettle corn for you! Talk to you later. Hope you enjoy the web-fest. Cathy D
Hey Ryan - I wanted to say Hi to
you since I forgot to on the mini
cam. Marcia and I were so busy
making a fool of ourselves - pushing each other out of the way and laughing that I forgot to say
Hi Ryan - how are ya?!?
Anyway, you guys your booth looked
very nice and I met so many of
your chamber friends. They are all
awesome - just like you Ellen.
I had a great time with JoAnn(one
of the few spelled just like mine)
and Hillary. Hillary and I had a
lot of laughs. We even marched in
frontof the band. (you will have to
ask her about it). Anyway, hope
you have a great day. Don't forget
you are getting the trinkets Marcia
is trying to push on me for our
Christmas exchange. I will give
them to you for Christmas then we
can all have lots of laughs!!!!!
