saturday

well i must say i have enjoyed reading many of the posts lately but i think the first comment i must say is that lanza "you need to learn to keep your top on" maybe that could be a new years resolution or something? you really need to work on that!

well today was another productive day. monica, justin and kelly came in to see me this weekend and ryan's friends dan and valene came in as well. we all hung out all day except when ryan went to lunch with them and i took another nap. i am really tired tonight. hours of visitors take alot out on me lately. i hate that as i love to have visitors. i'll get better soon enough though.

ryan is at dinner tonight so my mom and will plan on playing some games until i go to bed. it helps calm me down!

i hope everyone had a nice saturday and enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Hi Ellen...It's nice to read that you are bantering with your friends, and I hope that means that you are feeling well! It is also wonderful that you have had so many friends visit - even if they do tire you out, that just means you get a good nap then.

Tomorrow is Brooklynn's birthday party at Chuckie Cheese's - she will be four, and I think she is going to be a lot like you which is fine by me.

Keep on getting those good numbers next week.

Love,
Aunt Susan

HI El,

I am glad to here that you had a good Sat. I am sure it was nice to have all of those visitors. I went to the Ohio State Fair today which was fun. We went to the petting zoo and saw three pig races. It was crazy. I found out today that we are having a highschool reunion on Oct. 6th. I am sure that formal invitations or more details on the event will come soon. Have a great night and sleep well. I will talk to you soon.

Love,
Amber

Hi Ellen,

My week has been busy, anxious to catch up with your progress for the week. JoAnn gave an update at the msf meeting this Thursday. With some new faces at the msf meeting & with just having an afternoon storm, I thought it would be good to talk about the procedure on storm protocol so that we all know how to respond if we are out & about in the streets. Just then the tornado siren went off - what a coindience(sp? I am getting tired to spell)but good to address.

I read your blog for the week - good reports, wish I/we could relieve the stomach draining issue for you - take comfort any way that you can & tuff it out. Yes it may sound easy from our point but hopefully it keeps you going. Your blogs & responses make me laugh - good to see the dialogue. Hope your weekend is going smooth. As the days get closer to the msf, the more many of us are going to be thinking of you & miss your presence - it won't be the same as in the years past!

May your upcoming week go good for you & hang on tight with your hands with Ryan as the strenght of all of us may flow into you.

Take care,

Barry K.

Hi Ellen,
I am so happy that I found your website!
Marcia S.had been keeping me & the rest of your mom's friends updated. Now, she is leaving for Colorado for a few days since Mike & his family are moving. She emailed me this website so I would still know what's happening. Of course all of North Canton & Canton wants to know!!You have lots & lots of loved ones here!!
So that left me up in the middle of the night wondering about you. Now that I read your blog, I should try your thing & have a bowl of Cheerios & go back to sleep!!Please put my name on the list for one of your originals for Artful Life. I am so excited. What a wonderful idea.
Tell your mom a big "hi" for me too.
Keep up the good work, Ellen.
Love you!

Hi Ellen and Ryan,

Hope you and your mom had a good night of games!
Yesterday was the first football scrimmage of the season. Tristan got to get in with the first team for a while, and that was pretty cool.(They play 6th and 7th grades together, and boy some of these kids are huge!) He got some pretty good tackles in too!
Yes- Brent had also told me about the reunion on October 6. Joe is running the Chicago Marathon that weekend, so it looks as if we will not make it! Although I would rather see people than watch running--it is just not my thing! I'll leave that to you, your dad,and Joe.

So glad to see you continuing to type! Every day, I think of you getting stronger and gearing up for that next round.
Sending lots of energy your way from NC (if only I could really bottle up the kids' energy to send!)- Jen

Ellen, I finally stopped by the Revoldt's house yesterday to pick up my bracelet. I have been meaning to get over there, but have been out of town. I ended up parking in your driveway and walking over next door. I found the bracelet with my name on it in the ceramic bin outside on the porch and when I put it on, it sent this tingling feeling all throughout my body. This is going to sound so weird, but as I walked back to my car and drove away, the energy was still there. I kept saying to myself, "i feel it, i feel it". All the love, energy and support...I could really feel it!!!! Ellen, it was an amazing feeling!

Hi Ellen!
Hey, my life isn't any more exciting! I literally read the last Harry Potter book most of Friday night and the ENTIRE day yesterday. I finished if off in bed right before I went to sleep.

Guess what! Preston also had to get glasses! He is SO mad because he wanted these blue frames but we all agreed they were a little too feminine for a crazy 5 year old boy! We picked out some lovely "Power Ranger" frames (you can't tell they are Power Rangers but it makes Preston feel better knowing that's what they are). They had to order some different colors because I didn't like the black frames they had at the eye doctor. They ordered them so he will have to go back and try them on one more time and choose which color. What a pain in rear. Gwenyth and I are on our way to a baby shower this afternoon (for a cousin I've never even met before!)

I think it's a good thing you have been resting a lot. Hope your tummy isn't hurting too much! Call me tonight if you are up to it.
Love you!
Hilary

Hey El,
I am so glad that you had a fun weekend. It is so nice to hear that you are relaxed and even a little bored. It is much better than being very sick and unable to enjoy anything. Keep continuing to feel better.
I talked to Angie Gerhan on the phone the other day and she said she is only about an hour and a half to two hours away from where you are. I think she is planning on visiting you. I hope that she does. She is always good for a few dozens laughs and I am sure you would enjoy that.
Well, I have to do some laundry. I am a wife now so I guess I should pretend to be domestic. I know...who am I fooling! Well take care and keep writing!

Love you so much!

Hi Ellen!
I am so happy to hear your numbers are improving and you are enjoying some time away from the hospital!
Hopefully you don't cheat at Connect Four like you did playing Flip Cup at University of Dayton! I demand a "reflip" when you get back to Ohio!
You are in my thoughts and prayers always!
Lots of love,
Jessica

Hi Ellen and Ryan,

Ellen, your excitement and encouragement comes through loud and clear in your writing. I just got back from a wedding in Texas, and found myself checking the blog first thing to find out how you are. I was excited to read about your business venture. What an awesome project. Please send me some information. I would love to find out more about it and see what things are available for purchase. Continued prayers for continued improvements.

Hi Ellen,
I have been thinking of you a lot
today. I am glad you are having
visitors. You probably realize what
a popular, well loved girl you are
after reading the blog. I am interested in your art. I loved the painting you did for your mom.
I will put my order in when you have time, so put me on the list.
Iwill decide later what I want you
to make - you and Ryan can help me
as sometimes I am not great about
knowing what I want. I know what
I like but need guidance. I went
to a wedding reception last night
and wore my braclet with my black
dress. It looked perfect. Bob, too
wore his. Mine is very loose but
he is a big guy so his looks like it is painted on. We never take them off. Hope you have a good
day tomorrow. I will be thinking
of you and praying for good things
for you. Tell Ryan and Suze Hi.
Love,
JoAnn Grisak

Hi Ell! So glad that you had a lot of visitors this weekend! Wow, I totally forgot about Connect 4 - that's a great game.

This weekend Mike and I went to Bloomington, IN for one of our friend's birthdays. We rented a pontoon boat yesterday and then went out to all the IU places both nights. The pontoon had me thinking about the time we took out Joe's both (I think it was his) and thought we were anchored, and suddenly realized we were still moving and noticed that the anchor had become unattached to the boat and was just sitting on the bottom on the lake! Seriously, I can't believe how stupid we were sometimes :-)

Just wanted to share that little memory. Hope you're staying rested and get to have your fluid drained tomorrow!

Love you and miss you!
Amina
